Regular Season Round 2: LoKoKo Bisons - HBA-Marsky 88-81

The biggest surprise of round 2 in 1st Division took place in Loimaa where host LoKoKo Bisons (2-0) beat HBA-Marsky (1-1) 88-81 on Thursday evening. HBA-Marsky was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Marcus White (198-95, college: Dickinson St.) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Forward Ville Karvonen (198-96) chipped in 9 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Four LoKoKo Bisons players scored in double figures. International guard Ville Tahvanainen (193-0) produced 31 points and Mustapha Amzil (202-1) added 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. HBA-Marsky's coach Antti Koskelainen rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. HBA-Marsky will play next round against ToPo Juniorit trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Helsinki - ToPo Juniorit. LoKoKo Bisons will try to continue on its current victory against Pyrinto Akatemia in Tampere.
