Regular Season Round 3: PeKa - Honka 74-69

There was a minor upset when Tapiolan Honka (1-2) lost to Peli-Karhut (1-2) in Kotka 69-74 on Thursday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-17. But Tapiolan Honka won second period 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (178-91, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Noora Jarvikangas (184-94, college: ORU) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Sidney Cook (188-94, college: Virginia Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Kaisa Kuisma (180-94) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for Tapiolan Honka in the defeat. Peli-Karhut will meet ViVe (#8) in the next round. Tapiolan Honka will play against Espoo Team and hope to win that game.
