Regular Season Round 4: Piestanske C. - Kibirkstis 58-42

Slovakian Piestanske C.'s fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Lithuanian Kibirkstis (0-3) 58-42. It looked good early as Kibirkstis took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Piestanske C. had a 20-9 second period charge getting the lead and Kibirkstis were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 42-58. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and center Ivana Jakubcova (198-94, college: USC) who added 5 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Gabija Meskonyte (181-98) responded with 14 points and American forward Morgan Pullins (183-93, college: St.Mary's, TX, agency: Two Points) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Piestanske C. maintains ninth position with 1-2 record, which they share with 3 other teams. It was Kibirkstis' third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
