Regular Season Round 5: Tokyo HT - Fukushima 83-81

Important game to mention about took place in Tokyo. Fourth ranked Tokyo HT (2-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed Fukushima (3-3) 83-81 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fukushima. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Fukushima's 42. American swingman LeBryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Shinya Murakami (172-91) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Fukushima. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Tokyo HT maintains fourth place with 2-4 record, which they share with Yamagata and Kanazawa Sam. Loser Fukushima dropped to the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
