The game between Thor AK (2-0) and FSU (0-2) in Akureyri on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Thor AK outscored guests from Selfoss 95-61. The game was mostly controlled by Thor AK. FSU managed to win second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Thomas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Thor AK players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by point guard Ari Gylfason (186-89) did not help to save the game for FSU. American-Dominican point guard Mike Rodriguez (178-94, college: S.Illinois) added 14 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thor AK will meet Sindri (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. FSU will play against Vestri and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
