Regular Season Round 4: Ryukyu GK - Nagoya DD 79-68

Rather predictable result when top-ranked Ryukyu GK (4-0) won against 3rd ranked Diamond Dolphins (2-2) in Okinawa 79-68 on Saturday. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Ryota Kobayashi (178-91) added 11 points and 9 assists in the effort for Diamond Dolphins. Four Diamond Dolphins players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu GK have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Toyota Alvark and Tochigi Brex. Loser Diamond Dolphins keep the third place with two games lost. Ryukyu GK will face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Diamond Dolphins will play against Fukuoka Rizing and hope to win that game.
