Regular Season Round 3: IK Eos - Visby 85-61

Date: October 13, 2018
The game between closely ranked teams ended with Visby Ladies' (0-2) road loss to IK Eos (2-1) 61-85. Visby Ladies were ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 51-24 second half run of IK Eos. They also forced 22 Visby Ladies turnovers. Strangely Visby Ladies outrebounded IK Eos 46-28 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Leah Scott (183-93, college: Marshall) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Danish guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. American guard Branndais Agee (180-94, college: Michigan St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Zakiya Saunders (175-95, college: Cent.Florida) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Visby Ladies in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. IK Eos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Visby Ladies will play at home against Telge (#6) and hope to get finally their first victory.
