Regular Season Round 4: Quintanar - Alcobendas 72-56

There was a change at the EBA leadership position after last games. Round 4 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Alcobendas (3-1). They were defeated by fifth ranked Quintanar (3-1) 72-56 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Alcobendas. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Khion Sankey (196-92, college: Lipscomb) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian point guard Samy Mohamed (183, college: UPEI) who added 17 points during the contest. Quintanar's coach David Varela used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Luis de-la-Pena (200-94) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) scored 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Quintanar moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Alcobendas. Alcobendas will play next round against strong Estudiantes B trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Quintanar will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Lanzarote in Arrecife.
