Regular Season Round 4: Kyoto Hannar. - Yokohama BC 87-81

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Kyoto Hannar. (3-1) defeated at home bottom-ranked Yokohama BC (0-4) 87-81 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Kyoto Hannar. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Quite impressive performance for Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 16 assists. American center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) contributed with 32 points and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) replied with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American forward Amanze Egekeze (203-95, college: Belmont) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Yokohama BC. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Thomas Wisman let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kyoto Hannar. have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Yokohama BC still closes the standings with four games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
