There was a surprise result when Olginate (1-1) edged at home Juvi Cremona (1-1) 58-55 on Saturday. Olginate forced 20 Juvi Cremona turnovers. Strangely Juvi Cremona outrebounded Olginate 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Point guard Federico De Bettin (180-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points. Power forward Marco Tagliabue (206-86) contributed with 7 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Olginate's coach Massimo Meneguzzo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international Rodolfo Valenti (200-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Giovanni Veronesi (194-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Juvi Cremona. Olginate will face Desio (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
