Regular Season Round 3: San Salvatore - Pistoia 64-58

Not a big story in a game when Pistoia (0-3) was defeated on the road by San Salvatore (2-1) 64-58 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. San Salvatore outrebounded Pistoia 53-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Karmen Cicic (183-94) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Anna Lussu (163-85) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Serena Bona (181-89, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and guard Giulia Sorrentino (170-98) added 22 points respectively. San Salvatore will face Savonese (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pistoia will play against Spezzina and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
