Regular Season Round 2: Cerdanyola - Aros Patatas 50-78

There was no surprise when Cerdanyola (0-2) was crushed at home by Aros Patatas (1-0) 78-50. 29 personal fouls committed by Cerdanyola helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-96, college: Baylor) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Marta Canella (178-95) supported her with 17 points. Five Aros Patatas players scored in double figures. Even 10 points by center Marta Arbizu (187-91) did not help to save the game for Cerdanyola. Laura Arias (177-93) added 13 points for the hosts. Cerdanyola's coach Juan Couto gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Aros Patatas' next round opponent will be Mataro Parc and it may be the game of the week. Cerdanyola will play against Barca CBS (#5) in Barcelona and hope to win that game.
