Regular Season Round 3: MKS DG 2 - Pogon RS 84-102

Not a big story in a game in Dabrowa Gornicza where MKS DG 2 (0-3) was defeated by Pogon RS (2-1) 102-84 on Saturday. Pogon RS dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 42. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Pogon RS looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for center Tomasz Stankala (202-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Mateusz Pawlik (180-92) helped adding 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Pogon RS players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Radoslaw Chorab (185-0) with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Sebastian Stepien (184-99) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. MKS DG 2's coach Wojciech Wieczorek rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Pogon RS will face Zaglebie (#7) in Sosnowiec in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. MKS DG 2 will play on the road against Polonia Bytom (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
