Regular Season Round 5: Tokyo HT - Fukushima 77-92

Another interesting game for Fukushima (3-3) which played on the court of Tokyo HT (2-4). Fourth ranked Fukushima had an easy win 92-77. Fukushima outrebounded Tokyo HT 35-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Tokyo HT was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman LeBryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukushima moved-up to third place, which they share with Shimane SM and Tokyo Z. Newly promoted Tokyo HT keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Yamagata and Kanazawa Sam.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
