Regular Season Round 4: SeaHorses - Toyota Alvark 69-77

Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Aishin Sea Horses (0-4) lost to top-ranked Toyota Alvark (4-0) in Kariya 69-77 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for international Yudai Baba (193-95) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 assists. The former international Daiki Tanaka (191-91) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. American forward James Southerland (203-90, college: Syracuse) replied with 22 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Aishin Sea Horses. Aishin Sea Horses' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyota Alvark have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ryukyu GK and Tochigi Brex. Loser Aishin Sea Horses still closes the standings with four games lost. Toyota Alvark will face league's leader Tochigi Brex at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aishin Sea Horses will play against the league's leader Toshiba Thunders (#1) in Kanagawa and hope to get finally their first victory.
