Regular Season Round 4: Breogan - Estudiantes 86-79

Leche Rio Breogan has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Movil Estudiantes (1-2) 86-79 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-14. But Movil Estudiantes won second period 27-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Aleksandar Cvetkovic (188-93, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists and Argentinian point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. At the losing side international guard Dario Brizuela (196-94) responded with 18 points and Puerto Rican guard Gian Clavell (193-93, college: Colorado St.) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leche Rio Breogan left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Movil Estudiantes. Leche Rio Breogan is looking forward to face Burgos (#15) on the road in the next round. Movil Estudiantes will play against CB Canarias (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
