Regular Season Round 4: Casvi - Daimiel 82-70

There was a minor upset in Villaviciosa where higher ranked Daimiel (1-3) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Casvi (1-3) 82-70 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Matthew Dahlen (201-95, college: St.Martin's) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and Danish guard Emil Hjorth (196-96) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Julian Lewis (196-92, college: Lewis) responded with 22 points and Nigerian point guard Brian Egejuru (186-94, college: Cent.Methodist) scored 11 points. Four Casvi and five Daimiel players scored in double figures. Daimiel's coach Chema Lopez let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Casvi left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in Group B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Daimiel. Casvi will face league's leader Gran Canaria II in Las Palmas in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Daimiel will play on the road against Tenerife Naut. (#8) in Santa Cruz de Ten. and hope to win that game.
