Regular Season Round 4: Rosalia - Chantada 55-65

Everything could happen in Santiago de Camp. at the game between two tied teams. Both top-ranked Chantada and bottom-ranked Rosalia had identical 0-0 record. But Rosalia was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Chantada 65-55 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in Group A-B. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Adria Baiget (190-89) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Montenegrin center Filip Knezevic (205-94) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side swingman Nilo Barreiro (192-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Pablo Posse (202-89) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Chantada (1-0) keeps a position of Group A-B leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Rosalia still closes the standings with one game lost. Chantada will face Agustinos-Leclerc (#8) in Leon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rosalia will play on the road against PBB (#12) in Porrino and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
