Regular Season Round 3: AZS UMK Torun - Gniezno 67-71

There was a minor upset when AZS UMK Torun (1-2) was defeated at home by Gniezno (1-2) 71-67 on Saturday. AZS UMK Torun was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Michal Szydlowski (197-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Emil Rau (189-97) helped adding 14 points and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Krystian Mackiewicz (185-99) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four AZS UMK Torun players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Gniezno will face Ogniwo Szczecin (#9) at home in the next round.
