Regular Season Round 1: Nancy - Quimper 70-65

Sluc Nancy used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Quimper 70-65 on Saturday night. Sluc Nancy dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Quimper UJAP's 28. Quimper UJAP was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St.) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 11 rebounds. Meredis Houmounou (188-88) contributed with 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) answered with 17 points and 8 assists and Central African power forward Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92) added 16 points in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sluc Nancy will face Caen on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quimper UJAP will play against ADA Blois (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
