Regular Season Round 2: Ardoi - ADBA 66-58

Ardoi defeated ADBA at home 66-58. It looked good early as ADBA took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ardoi had a 18-15 second period charge getting the lead and ADBA was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-66. Ardoi forced 21 ADBA turnovers. Strangely ADBA outrebounded Ardoi 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Forward Beatriz Royo (176-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Argentinian forward Maria Lineira (182-83) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Ardoi players scored in double figures. Montenegrin power forward Bojana Kovacevic (191-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and swingman Virginia Saez (173-95) added 21 points in the effort for ADBA. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ADBA will play next round against Rioja trying to get back on the winning streak. Ardoi will try to continue on its current victory against Coruna on the road.
