Regular Season Round 4: San Fernando - Cordobasket 84-114

Very expected game when bottom-ranked San Fernando (0-2) was crushed at home by top-ranked Cordobasket (2-0) 114-84 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Carlton Allen (208-95, college: Lincoln, PA) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Adolfo Vega (195-97) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Juan Perez (-92) responded with 20 points and center Simon Ruiz (197-87) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Cordobasket and four San Fernando players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cordobasket keeps a position of Group D-B leader, which they share with DKV San Fernando and Algeciras. Newly promoted San Fernando still closes the standings with two games lost. Cordobasket will face Benahavis (#4) at home in the next round. San Fernando will play against ULB OH!TELS (#5) in La Linea and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
