Regular Season Round 4: Amazonas - Aguilas 52-62

The most interesting game of round 4 was a home defeat of 4th ranked Amazonas (2-5) to third ranked Aguilas (3-4) 62-52. Aguilas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Amazonas' 34. Aguilas forced 20 Amazonas turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Maritzenia Bedoya who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Danna Jackson who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Aguilas players scored in double figures. Aguilas' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Grace Lopez responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Venezuelan Genesis Alvarez scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Aguilas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 3-4 record having four points less than leader Panteras, which they share with Atletico. Amazonas lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Aguilas is looking forward to face Atletico (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Amazonas will play against Universitarias and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
