Regular Season Round 2: Pyrinto - KTP 75-86

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Pyrinto (2-1) in Tampere on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by KTP (3-0) 86-75. The game was mostly controlled by KTP. Pyrinto managed to win third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Pyrinto helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was swingman Eero Hannikainen (190-1) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Janne-Petteri Lehtoranta (190-0) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Jasper Koskinen (183-1) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Aatu Pollanen (194-0) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five KTP and four Pyrinto players scored in double figures. Pyrinto's coach Artem Khvorost rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KTP are looking forward to face MuKi in Helsinki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pyrinto will play on the road against Lahti and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
