Regular Season Round 2: MuKi - HoNsU 103-92

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Helsinki: MuKi (#5) and HoNsU (#7). MuKi (2-0) won against visiting HoNsU (1-2) 103-92. HoNsU was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 60-47 second half run of MuKi. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to HoNsU's 46. They outrebounded HoNsU 41-24 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. MuKi players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Swingman Nikolas Gustavson (191-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Filemon Halmesmaki (193-0) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. MuKi's coach Jussi Tahvanainen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Ville Virtaharju (201-0) replied with 20 points and 6 assists and point guard Emil Mirzoev (177-1) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for HoNsU. Five MuKi and four HoNsU players scored in double figures. MuKi will play against KTP in Kotka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. HoNsU's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Helsinki Go Time.
