Regular Season Round 3: Arka II - Pelplin 61-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Arka II (2-1) in Gdynia. Hosts were defeated by Pelplin (3-0) 67-61. Pelplin forced 21 Arka II turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Bartosz Sarzalo (197-83) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Center Mateusz Itrich (201-97) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Five Pelplin players scored in double figures. Point guard Filip Stryjewski (190-99) came up with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Mateusz Stanczuk (194-0) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Arka II in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pelplin will play against Trefl II Sopot (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Arka II will play against Politechnika Gd. (#3) in Gdansk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
