Everything could happen in Minsk at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Belarusian Gorizont and 9th ranked Slovakian Piestanske C. had identical 1-1 record. This time Gorizont used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Piestany 71-56 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Gorizont. Piestanske C. was better in third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Piestanske C. to just 6 points in first quarter. Piestanske C. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Russian guard Evgeniia Korotygina (180-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 4 assists. Guard Volha Ziuzkova (171-83) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dominika Deptova (179-91) replied with 15 points and American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) added 11 points in the effort for Piestanske C.Piestanske C.'s coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Gorizont (2-1) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Young Angels. Loser Piestanske C. keeps the ninth position with two games lost.
