Regular Season Round 2: Tresnjevka - Mursa 96-76

No shocking result in a game when Tresnjevka (2-0) crushed Mursa (0-2) in Zagreb 96-76. It looked good early as Mursa took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tresnjevka had a 30-16 second period charge getting the lead and Mursa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-96. Tresnjevka dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Mursa's 30. Tresnjevka forced 22 Mursa turnovers and outrebounded them 61-24 including a 29-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Mursa's players. The best player for the winners was Andjela Katavic (178-99) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Point guard Nika Muhl (178-1) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Five Tresnjevka players scored in double figures. Point guard Petra Lovric (166-96) produced 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Petra Simunic (-93) added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Tresnjevka's next round opponent will be Plamen Pozega (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Mursa will play against ZKK Medvescak and hope to win that game.
