Rather expected game in La Spezia where Cagliari CUS (1-2) was defeated by Spezzina (3-0) 77-66 on Sunday. Spezzina outrebounded Cagliari CUS 42-23 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The former international guard Elisa Templari (175-89, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Erika Striulli (170-90) who recorded 21 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Polish Aneta Kotnis (186-89) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Spezzina will face Pistoia (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cagliari CUS will play against Palermo (#2) and hope to win that game.
