The game in Oslo was also quite interesting. Top-ranked Asker (2-0) played at the court of 6th ranked Hoybraten (1-3). Asker managed to secure a 5-point victory 40-35 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hoybraten won third quarter 11-6. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asker dominated on the defensive end, holding Hoybraten to just 7 points in first and second quarters and to 14 points in first half. Asker held Hoybraten to an opponent 22.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 21.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Asker forced 24 Hoybraten turnovers and outrebounded them 53-33 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Ingrid Selvik (178-92) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Kari Kyrkjebo (182-1) who added 5 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Sigrid Davidsen (185-95) responded with 6 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks and forward Ingrid Hutchesson (178-82) scored 4 points and 6 rebounds. Hoybraten's coach Bilal Rodgers tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Asker moved-up to third place, which they share with Ullern. Loser Hoybraten keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Asker will meet at home bottom-ranked Storm Ungdom (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Hoybraten will play against Storm Ungdom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
