Regular Season Round 6: Tokyo Z - Toyotsu FE 81-79

The most exciting game of round 6 in the B2 League took place in Tokyo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Toyotsu FE (4-2) to third ranked Tokyo Z (3-3) 81-79 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyotsu FE. Tokyo Z looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 blocks during the contest. Four Tokyo Z players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Toyotsu FE's coach Ryuji Watanabe rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tokyo Z maintains third position with 3-3 record having just three points less than leader Cyberdyne IR, which they share with Shimane SM and Fukushima. Toyotsu FE at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Tokyo Z is looking forward to face Bambitious Nara (#4) on the road in the next round. Toyotsu FE will play against Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo and is hoping to win this game.
