Very significant was Correcaminos' (#2, 5-1) victory against one of their biggest challengers Aguilas (3-4) 69-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Aguilas. Correcaminos forced 19 Aguilas turnovers. The winners were led by guard Lirieth Gonzalez (170-1) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Veronica Vega (-90) supported her with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds by center Anayansi Ortiz did not help to save the game for Aguilas. Forward Danna Jackson added 17 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Aguilas' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Correcaminos have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-1 record having just three points less than leader Panteras. Aguilas at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Atletico. Correcaminos will play against league's leader Panteras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aguilas will play against Atletico and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
