Regular Season Round 4: SeaHorses - Toyota Alvark 55-65

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Toyota Alvark (4-0) beat bottom-ranked Aishin Sea Horses (0-4) in Kariya 65-55 on Sunday. Toyota Alvark outrebounded Aishin Sea Horses 39-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Montenegrin-Serbian power forward Milko Bjelica (207-84, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Grant Jerrett (208-93, college: Arizona) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and Masaaki Morikawa (190-92) added 10 points in the effort for Aishin Sea Horses. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ryukyu GK and Tochigi Brex. Loser Aishin Sea Horses still closes the standings with four games lost. Toyota Alvark will face league's leader Tochigi Brex at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aishin Sea Horses will play against the league's leader Toshiba Thunders (#1) in Kanagawa and hope to get finally their first victory.
