Regular Season Round 3: Albacete - Girona Basquet 75-82

Not a big story in a game when Albacete (1-2) lost at home to Girona Basquet (3-0) 82-75 on Sunday. Albacete was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Croatian forward Leo Cizmic (205-98) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. Guard Sergi Costa (188-96) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Girona Basquet players scored in double figures. American power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jordan Davis (178-91, college: Tampa) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Albacete. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Girona Basquet will face L'Hospitalet (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Albacete will play against Menorca in Mahon and hope to win that game.
