Date: October 14, 2018
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked SIG Strasbourg and 12th ranked Limoges CSP Elite had identical 2-2 record. This time SIG Strasbourg used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Limoges 81-61 on Sunday night. SIG Strasbourg made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game, while Limoges CSP Elite only scored one point from the stripe. The best player for the winners was American forward Mardy Collins (196-84, college: Temple) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international power forward Ali Traore (207-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four SIG Strasbourg players scored in double figures. International point guard Jonathan Rousselle (188-90) produced 8 points and 4 assists and Damien Inglis (204-95, agency: BeoBasket) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. SIG Strasbourg (3-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Limoges CSP Elite keeps the twelfth position with three games lost. SIG Strasbourg will face Levallois (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Limoges CSP Elite will play against the league's leader ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and hope to win that game.
