Regular Season Round 2: Catanzaro - Senigallia 54-66

There was no surprise when Catanzaro (0-2) lost at home to Senigallia (2-0) 66-54 on Sunday. Guard Giacomo Gurini (192-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Guard Fabio Giampieri (192-93, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Serbian Nikola Markovic (197-0) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and center Devil Medizza (198-90) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Catanzaro. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Senigallia will face Teramo (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Catanzaro will play against Campli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
