Musel Pikes has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Bereldange, where they outplayed Residence (0-4) 92-64 on Sunday. Musel Pikes dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Residence's 28. American power forward Quinterian McConico (203-95, college: Alabama A&M, agency: Court Side) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import forward PJ Davis (198-96, college: Delta St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Musel Pikes players scored in double figures. American forward Treg Setty (203-92, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Kevin Moura (182-94) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Residence's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Musel Pikes (1-3) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Larochette and Kordall Steelers. It was Residence's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Musel Pikes will meet at home higher ranked Etzella (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Residence will play against Basket Esch (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
