Regular Season Round 4: Real Madrid - Joventut 92-69
Date: October 14, 2018
Everything went according to plan when top-ranked Real Madrid (4-0) outscored at home 10th ranked Joventut (1-2) 92-69 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-69. Real Madrid made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Argentinian forward Gabriel Deck (199-95) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side Swedish power forward Simon Birgander (209-97, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and FYR Macedonian point guard Nenad Dimitrijevic (186-98) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Real Madrid have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with FC Barcelona. Loser Joventut dropped to the eleventh place with two games lost. Real Madrid will face Blusens Monbus (#9) in Santiago de Comp in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Joventut will play at home against Gipuzkoa and hope to win that game.
