Regular Season Round 1: Bashkimi - Beroe 77-107

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Kosovan Bashkimi (0-1) in Prizren on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Bulgarian Beroe (1-0) 107-77. The game without a history. Beroe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Bashkimi's 36. Beroe forced 21 Bashkimi turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-Polish center Dallin Bachynski (213-91, college: Utah) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Conner Frankamp (185-95, college: Wichita St.) contributed with 21 points and 7 steals for the winners. Beroe's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Mike Martin (181-93, college: Cent.Arkansas) answered with 17 points and 6 assists and the other American import forward Jordan Capps (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bashkimi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Beroe is looking forward to face Kozuv (#4) in Gevgelija in the next round. Bashkimi will play on the road against Teuta in Durres and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
