Regular Season Round 4: Enea Astoria - Biofarm PZN 93-62

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Enea Astoria (2-2) rolled over higher ranked Biofarm PZN (2-2) in Bydgoszcz 93-62 on Wednesday. Enea Astoria dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Biofarm PZN's 26 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Biofarm PZN 49-32 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Enea Astoria looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for Pawel Spica (190-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 assists. Mikolaj Grod (194-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Enea Astoria players scored in double figures. Mikolaj Kurpisz (202-98) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Dawid Gruszczynski (195-97) added 14 points in the effort for Biofarm PZN. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Enea Astoria moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Biofarm PZN. Enea Astoria will face Kotwica (#13) in Kolobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Biofarm PZN will play at home against WKK Wroclaw (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
