There was an upset when higher ranked Gornik (2-2) lost on the road to twelfth ranked WKK Wroclaw (2-1) 75-60 on Wednesday. It was a very good performance for guard Jakub Koelner (183-93) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Michal Jedrzejewski (184-98) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Tomasz Krzywdzinski (202-95, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gornik. WKK Wroclaw moved-up to fourth place. Gornik at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with two games lost. WKK Wroclaw will face Biofarm PZN (#12) in Poznan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gornik will play at home against the league's second-placed Sokol Lancut (#2) and hope to win that game.
