Regular Season Round 2: Flamengo - Joinville 76-75

A very close game took place in Rio de Janeiro between Flamengo and Joinville. Flamengo (3-0) got a very close home victory over Joinville (2-1). Flamengo managed to escape with a 1-point win 76-75 on Wednesday evening. Flamengo forced 19 Joinville turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) who scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Deryk Ramos (185-94) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Five Flamengo players scored in double figures. Flamengo's coach Gustavo Conti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Felipe Vezaro (193-92, college: Texas A&M Int.) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Lucas Vezaro (188-96) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Flamengo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Joinville will play against Pinheiros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
