A very interesting game took place in Tapiolan. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 9th ranked Tapiolan Honka (1-4) to sixth ranked Catz Lappeenranta (3-1) 86-83 on Wednesday evening. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a very good performance for point guard Valencia McFarland (163-91, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Sydney Wallace (175-93, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. Forward Sidney Cook (188-94, college: Virginia Tech) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and forward Alexyz Vaioletama (185-93, college: USC) added 25 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tapiolan Honka. Catz Lappeenranta moved-up to second place, which they share with FoA and HyPo. Tapiolan Honka lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. Catz Lappeenranta will have a break next round. Tapiolan Honka will play on the road against the league's second-placed HyPo (#2) in Hyvinkaa and hope to win that game.
