Regular Season Round 2: BC Nokia - Korihait 91-80

BC Nokia used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Uusikaupunki 91-80 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by BC Nokia. UU-Korihait managed to win fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Nokia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Sean OMara (208-95, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) notched 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87) supported him with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Stephon Jelks (198-96, college: Mercer) did not help to save the game for UU-Korihait. His fellow American import forward Brandon Conley (201-93, college: ORU) added 20 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Nokia will meet Kauhajoki on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UU-Korihait will play against Joensuun Kataja (#4) and hope to win that game.
