Regular Season Round 4: STK Czarni - Kotwica 84-88

The most important game in the last round took place in Slupsk between third ranked STK Czarni (2-2) and fourteenth ranked Kotwica (1-3) on Wednesday night. STK Czarni was defeated by Kotwica in a tough game at home 84-88. 25 personal fouls committed by STK Czarni helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Damian Janiak (195-89, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 4 assists. Daniel Grujic (201-90, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Patryk Pelka (202-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and naturalized Lithuanian guard Mantas Cesnauskis (189-81) added 20 points and 6 assists in the effort for STK Czarni. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Kotwica left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Pruszkow. Newly promoted STK Czarni dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Kotwica is looking forward to face higher ranked Enea Astoria (#7) in Bydgoszcz in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. STK Czarni will play on the road against Pogon Prudnik and is hoping to win this game.
