Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Polonia Leszno and one of their biggest challengers Pogon Prudnik had identical 2-1 record. This time Polonia Leszno used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Prudnik 103-64 on Wednesday night. Polonia Leszno outrebounded Pogon Prudnik 40-25 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Pogon Prudnik's players. It was a very good performance for the former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists. Polonia Leszno's coach Lukasz Grudniewski felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) replied with 16 points and the former international Marcin Sroka (201-81, agency: Promotex) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pogon Prudnik. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Polonia Leszno (3-1) moved-up to third place. Loser Pogon Prudnik dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Polonia Leszno will face GKS Tychy (#6) on the road in the next round. Pogon Prudnik will play against STK Czarni and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
