Regular Season Round 3: TS Ostrovia - MKK Siedlce 68-97

Rather predictable result when MKK Siedlce (2-1) rolled over TS Ostrovia (0-3) in Ostrow Wlkp. 97-68 on Wednesday. MKK Siedlce dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to TS Ostrovia's 34. MKK Siedlce forced 19 TS Ostrovia turnovers and outrebounded them 34-15 including a 12-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. MKK Siedlce looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Ukrainian forward Oksana Mollova (188-88) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). American forward Kristi Bellock (186-90, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four MKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Power forward Jowita Ossowska (182-96) came up with 23 points and center Karolina Podkanska (180-98) added 12 points respectively for TS Ostrovia in the defeat. TS Ostrovia's coach Miroslaw Trzesniewski gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. MKK Siedlce will meet AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (#8) in the next round. TS Ostrovia will play against Widzew in Lodz and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
