Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Maquinaria Ensino outrebounded Zamarat 53-27 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Starr Breedlove (168-93, college: UTEP) notched 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import center Britany Miller (192-87, college: Florida St., agency: ProDep Management) supported her with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Maquinaria Ensino's coach Juan Necega allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Carlie Wagner (178-95, college: Minnesota, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Zamarat. Serbian point guard Aleksandra Stanacev (167-94, agency: ProDep Management) added 18 points for the guests. Maquinaria Ensino will play against Araski in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zamarat will play at home against Universitario de Ferrol (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.
