Regular Season Round 3: Tindastoll - Haukar 79-61

Very expected game in Sauoarkrokur where Haukar (1-2) was defeated by Tindastoll (3-0) 79-61 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 30-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Urald King (198-90, college: SE Oklahoma) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Croatian guard Dino Butorac (191-90) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Marques Oliver (201-91, college: Delaware St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and guard Haukur Oskarsson (194-91) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tindastoll will meet at home Njardvik in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Haukar will play against Breidablik (#10) and hope to win that game.
