Barca II can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Melilla Baloncesto (2-2) on the road game in Melilla 95-63 on Friday. Barca II made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Aleix Font (192-98) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American Tyler Rawson (208-96, college: Utah) who added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side Brazilian center Felipe Dos-Anjos (218-98) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Serbian center Darko Balaban (211-89, agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Barca II (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Melilla Baloncesto dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Barca II will meet at home higher ranked CB Granada (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Oviedo CB (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
